Coach Will Hester, a native of Williamson County and the City of Brentwood, graduated from Brentwood High School in 1995. He went to college at Tennessee Tech University where he majored in Secondary Education. He has 15 years of coaching experience as an offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, and head coach. Throughout his coaching career, he has sent several players on to play in the SEC and other major conferences. He is married to Wendi and they have two children Gigi (10) and Riggs (6).
Coach Clint Finch, Coach Finch is entering his 20th year of teaching and coaching. Coach Finch earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies from Tennessee State University in 1993. He served as an assistant football coach and as assistant and head baseball coach at Harpeth High/Middle School from 1994 to 2003. Coach Finch taught at Hunters Lane High School in 2004 where he served as an assistant baseball coach before returning to Harpeth High School in 2005. Coach Finch spent the last 7 years at Brentwood High School where served as the Freshman defensive coordinator, Freshman head coach, and varsity offensive line coach. At BHS, he also served as a varsity softball assistant and head coach. Coach Finch has been married to his wife, Dana, for 19 years. They have two sons Colby (13) and Cooper (11).
Coach Dan Quesenberry, “Coach Q,” will be starting his 13th year coaching. He spent the majority of his time coaching at Brentwood High School from 2004 to 2011. Coach Q has been married for 14 years to his wife, Lisa and they have three children; Isabella (11), Lila (8), and Jasper (6). He is a graduate of West Virginia University and is from Morgantown, WV.
Coach Andrew Elrod is from Nashville and is going into his 8th year of teaching and coaching, and entering his second year as a Raptor. Coach Elrod graduated with a bachelor’s degree in History from Lee University. This past season at Ravenwood Coach Elrod worked with the Freshman Offensive and Defensive line as well as taught World Geography and AP European History.
Coach Zach Farkas went to school in southern Illinois before he got a job teaching 8th grade Science and coaching 7th grade girls basketball at Page Middle School . He graduated with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry while earning a teaching certificate. This is his second year coaching at Ravenwood and before that I was an assistant at Page High School for one year. This year he will be starting his 8th year of coaching overall.
Coach Bryant Gunter is entering his 2nd year coaching for the Raptors. As a Mississippi native, Coach Gunter graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2012 with a Secondary Education degree in Social Studies. While at Ole Miss, Gunter served as a student manager and assistant to the Rebel coaching staff. Coach Gunter and his wife, Ginny, were married in March 2012.
Coach Joe Cardinal, a native of Ohio where he attended Sebring McKinley High School and graduated in 2000. He went to college at Ohio University where he majored in Integrated Social Studies. He has 8 years of coaching experience. He started out at Clermont Northeastern High School (Ohio) as an assistant coach and moved to Hillsboro High School (Ohio), where he served as the team’s offensive coordinator. Last year he was the Ravenwood Freshman Offensive Coordinator.
Coach Alex Trakas is entering his 9th year of coaching in both Ohio and Tennessee, including the past two as WR's coach at Ravenwood. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from The Ohio State University in 2010. He married his wife, Leslie, in the summer of 2012.
Coach Daniel Keel is beginning his third at Ravenwood as our Defensive Coordinator. Over his 13-year career, he has coached at Davidson Academy, Brentwood Academy, and BGA. He has spent the majority of that time specializing in defense, linebackers and defensive line. Coach Keel teaches biology at Ravenwood. He is an alum of Rhodes College, where he played running back for the Lynx. Coach Keel’s wife Traci is an English teacher in the area. He also has three children, Garrett (16), Virginia (12), and Anna Clare (12). In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and fishing. Coach Keel is excited about what the 2013 season has in store for our program.
